FAQ
How Do I Place An Order?
You can head over to our HOW TO ORDER page to see how our four step process works, or simply email me, Georgina at Georgina@tanzanitefinejewellery.com

How Long Does a Custom-Made Order Take?

This is very dependent on the piece we are making for you, whether you require the gemstone to be certified, if you require a valuation certificate, obviously this adds to our lead time, as the Assay Office have their own time frames. The simpliest thing is to ask us, and we can advise you specifically for your order.

How will be custom made order arrive?

Your order will arrive already in a jewellery box, or will have been packaged separately and we will enclose a jewellery box. Often it is safer, in our experience, to package a ring, or a pair of earrings separately incase the jewellery box is squashed or damaged, preventing damage to your precious order.

I would like AAAA Graded Tanzanite? (Very important points to consider...)

We do our utmost to ensure that you will receive AAAA grade Tanzanite if this is what you really prefer...
However, there is no official Tanzanite grading system as there is for Diamonds. In fact, other than the GIA’s grading system for colourless Diamonds, there is no standardized grading system yet in place for any other gemstone on the market today.

Some of you may have heard Tanzanite described as AA, AAA, or AAAA. So what’s the story? Many jewellery companies over the years created their own grading systems using the four A's.
It is important to note that although there are fewer AAAA Tanzanites available on the market and many people prize them above all others, they do come with a higher price tag due to their scarcity, more importantly, they usually do not offer as much pleochroism as lighter grades will, unless you are purchasing 6 carats plus. It really is a matter of taste.

For this reason, many people will aim for AAA/AAA+ grade as it is usually a great compromise between the much darker hues of an AAAA, and the more feminine pinks and purples you will see in the AA grades. So we can have your Tanzanite graded and aim for AAAA, but please bear in mind the above points.

This can be arranged via bank transfer, through PayPal (2.5% fee is charged) or we can send an invoice to you via a link on our website. The balance is due before we ship the ring to you.

Custom made is made to order, hand-made not manufactured. However, there is a full satisfaction guarantee for replacement or repair of the piece if it does not match your specifications as agreed in the order between yourself and Tanzanite Fine Jewellery, or if there is a defect in materials or workmanship.
